IMMIGRATE
Express Entry Program
Express Entry is a major option to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker. Canada is looking to welcome over 110,000 Express Entry immigrants per year by 2024.
Prospective candidates create a profile and submit at the government (IRCC) website having met certain stipulated eligibility requirements. The candidate is issued a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS is a points-based system used by the government to assess and rank candidates based on the profile they have created and submitted. The CRS score is calculated based on a candidate’s age, education, work experience, language skills, as well as other factors. In every two weeks, IRCC invites immigration candidates with the highest CRS scores to apply for permanent residence.

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP).
The PNP program was initiated in 1998, to give Canadian provinces and Territories the authority to determine and manage their various immigration needs, in accordance with the provision of the Canadian constitution. The main purpose of the PNP is to spread the benefits of immigration across Canada. Under this program each province nominates candidates who have fulfilled certain provincial eligibility requirements. The great benefits of applying through the PNP streams is that nominees are awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points if they have a profile submitted in the express entry pool.
This essentially guarantee they will receive a permanent residence invitation under Express Entry. All the provinces and territories in Canada have PNP programs except Quebec and the Canadian territory of Nunavut.

It is an employer-driven program that involves the hiring of foreigners who meet the employers need and the program criteria.
When the designated employer, finds a suitable candidate, that employer would first be required to offer a job which is Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) exempt. Once the candidate has accepted the job, the employer will connect the candidate with a designated settlement service provider organization for a needs assessment and to develop a settlement plan. Employers will also support the long-term integration of the new immigrant and his or her family, if applicable, so they can reach the goals of their settlement plan once they arrive in Canada.
